If someone didn’t know me and were too look into my closet, they would be confused about my style. You’ll find classic pieces as much as you can find hippie clothes and urban chic inspiration.
In Iran there is a public dress code, so girls dress differently on the street then they do at home. They are stylish and their street looks are very put together. Parties in homes are on another level. You can expect very fancy outfits, no different than what you would see at Hollywood parties. The Iranian upper class will follow European trends.

My style has changed drastically. From my early teens to my late 20's there was a lot of shifting. I used to dress all in black with metal t-shirts and had long hair. I got rid of the skulls and transitioned into the skater look. Then, in my late teens, I had a very metrosexual style. My biggest shift was through a friend. I really started to appreciate his classic style. I've been like that since then. I like to be in tune with fashion to a certain degree, but I like comfort as well. Ideally, I like to dress for the moment but always in a classic way.

MARIA
Meet Maria. I approached her because I loved that she added a pop of red to her dark ensemble. She only speaks Portuguese, so I had to explain what 6am Style Session is about through images. I knew she got the essence when she smiled and quickly told me in bits of French and English that she's always liked the classic look and favors black and red. Then she posed and smiled without hesitation. A lady with confidence and a clear sense of style transcends any language barrier.

I have jackets, blazers and jeans and lots of shoes, but heels are one thing I don't buy enough of.
When it comes to style, the advice I give is to do what you want but be comfortable with what you're wearing. Don't try to look like anyone else.
Lilly Singh aka IISuperwomanII is a YouTuber and she has been my biggest inspiration for fashion and life in general. So today, I went for a classy gangster look, because there's nothing wrong with comfy Nikes and a sleek blazer.
My mom didn't teach me anything about style. She wasn't into fashion or name brand clothes. It just wasn't her thing. In high school I lived in sweat pants everyday day and didn't care. You're there to learn, it's not a fashion show. It's different when you're in the real world.
I work in the business world now and you need to look put-together. When you start hanging out with people who are older you want to be taken seriously. First impressions are so important and how you present yourself makes a big difference.

IRINA
I get my hair done every two months. My friend is a colourist and he calls me in to try different things. He knows what's best and I trust him. It usually ends up looking beautiful.
When it comes to style, I want my outfits to show confidence. I like to go out the door looking like I know where I'm going and I want my clothes to reflect that.
In high school I had to wear a uniform and I always felt I couldn't show my personality. When I got out, I really started exploring different styles and experimenting with clothes. I was 17 and wanted to make up for what I had lacked the years before, so I used to spend 100 percent of my salary on clothes.
The image that you're able to portray when you're wearing nice clothes is very enjoyable, but it's a very dangerous slope. Finding your self worth in your clothes is something that you should never do.

My sister was always into fashion and I look up to her. She's one year older and whatever she had would become mine. My parents gave me her hand-me-downs, so I basically inherited her style.
Now, I just end up borrowing her clothes all the time. It used to bother her but I did it so much that she stopped caring. She only cares if I take something new. My brother doesn't notice at all.

In all honesty, my style inspiration comes from my sister. As a kid, I was the type who would wear anything. My sister is older by seven years and she was into fashion. She didn't like what I was wearing so she brought me to the mall and made me try on a ton of new things. She gave me a complete makeover. What she suggested was casual in a classy way and I respect her, so I adopted the style. Turned out to be what my parents liked too, so it all worked out. I wouldn't let her change my style now though, I'm comfortable with my look.

I think about my outfit while I shower in the morning, so I'm fairly quick at getting ready. I worked at Dynamite and that's where my style transitioned. CHRISTOPHER
I'm half Italian and half Lebanese. My parents always bugged me about the way I dress. Most Italians and Arabs have this mentality that you always have to look sharp - but I got bored of it. I couldn't take it anymore and felt like it wasn't me.
I was born in Canada but lived in Lebanon all my life. I moved back here two years ago. When I came back, I started changing my style. My parents slowly started seeing my new look on Skype. I had some of my piercings before I got here, but I also did a lot to hide the new ones. They were shocked, but now they know. My grandparents still don't know though. They have an old school mentality. My parents are fine with it but they say: "Your grandparents can't know."

This jacket is five years old. I'm all about quality over quantity. Bargain shopping is good, but you need to invest in great pieces - I think jeans and boots are key staples. If I could go back in time, I would tell my 16-year-old self to not waste money on poor quality clothing.

I wore a uniform in high school. I liked it, it was a no brainer - you wake up and you know what to wear. My style changed right after high school, but I didn't experiment too much. I'm a minimalist, so it's either black or grey. When I go out, I'll wear a staple black, white or grey outfit and then dress it up with an accessory. My mom always said to stick to the classics. She has these timeless pearl earrings ... they will probably be mine one day.

I'm studying today, so I'm in my comfiest outfit.
If I go out for an occasion I wear more form fitting clothes. But I don't go out that much during the school year. University is my main focus and it has been really hard. My mom always wanted me to go to university and do really well because she didn't get to do that, she had me.
Knowing that inspires me to do well, especially since she went back to school this year. She's studying aesthetics. This is her coat actually. We borrow each others clothes all the time. She'll come home with bags in her hands and says: "Look what I bought us!" We bond over it.

I'm wearing pj's today. I woke up at 6:30 this morning, threw something on and I was out the door. I was guarding at the pool and studying all day.
Being a lifeguard means I have a lot of sports clothes and lots of one-piece bathing suits. I shop at Forever 21, they have amazing plus sizes that don't look old lady-ish.
I think I look at celebrities to get a general picture of what I'd like my style to look like, but it's unrealistic to look like that everyday. I don't do crop tops or anything super tight. I go for statement necklaces and I love shoes - I have way too many.
My mom was not into style at all, she says I have way to much clothes. Growing up I would get hand-me-downs, it makes me appreciate that I can buy my own clothes a lot more than if I always had whatever I wanted.

My style has been constant over the years. I'm all about the basics - I like black, white and grey. It takes me two seconds seconds to get ready.
