Welcome to the W Hotel in Los Angeles on the corner of Hollywood and Vine ... where a Fiji water bottle will set you back $9, where social media influencers run rampant and where you will find yourself in a lovely oasis mixing with the whose who of Hollywood.
The adjoining W Hotel apartments are a hotspot for YouTubers, ex-viners and social media influencers. The vibe is has changed over the years and it has been quieter recently, however, this hotel remains a party destination.
It is enjoyable on business or for pleasure. There are frequent events at the bar that’s just off the lobby and, unless you are ok with hustle and bustle, it’s not ideal for a family trip with young children.
The W Hotel has a ‘whatever whenever’ mantra but there’s not amazing follow-through on this promise. The service is really friendly but they sometimes need reminders to bring the yoga mat you requested.
If you’re playing tourist, this hotel is a bit of a walk from Hollywood scenic spots and late night walks are definitely uncomfortable for single female travellers. However, Traders’ Joe and great restaurants are a few steps away.
This hotel quickly becomes a home away from home with convenient access to a blow dry bar, a great place to grab a protein bowl for breakfast, a drugstore, world-class sushi or chipotle, Jackin the Box or McDonald’s if you want a quick bite.
Comparing to other W Hotel experiences, this one is on par. In it’s price range, would definitely recommend.
